Is Ameriplan health insurance?
No. Ameriplan membership plans are not insurance. They provide access to healthcare savings, discounted services and other membership benefits through participating providers and programs.
Does one membership serve my household?
Yes, though who counts as your household differs by benefit. The dental, vision, prescription, chiropractic and hearing savings cover everyone living in your home, with no limit on how many. Elite's care visits — primary care and urgent care through Telehealth, behavioral health and care navigation — cover you plus up to 10 dependents. Pet telemedicine has no limit on the number of pets. If you are joining Elite for the care visits, check who you need covered before you enroll, or ask Customer Support.
Can I use Ameriplan if I already have insurance?
Yes. Ameriplan is not a replacement for health insurance. Eligible savings may be useful alongside other healthcare arrangements, subject to the applicable program rules.
How much does Ameriplan cost?
Memberships are monthly and cover your household: Basic is $19.95, Deluxe $39.95 and Elite $89.95. A one-time $20 Member Registration Fee applies when joining, so the first payment is $39.95, $59.95 or $109.95.
Where is Ameriplan available?
Everywhere except Alaska, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah, Vermont, Washington State and Wyoming. Washington, D.C. is included. A membership can't be bought for an address in those eight states. Anywhere else, use Provider Search to see which participating providers are near you.
How do I find participating providers?
Use Provider Search to explore participating care in your area, then confirm participation when appropriate before receiving services.
